What in the World is Going On?

This year, as it happens, my daughter’s history focuses on the Eastern Hemisphere.  I don’t know how much you know about China, the four olds, Mao, and the implementation of Communism, but if you haven’t researched it you really should.  We are also focusing on reading and watching current events, and discussing the cultural and political events in America today.  My eleven year old doesn’t need me to point out the similarities.  They are blatantly obvious.  

Socialism and Marxist theory always (we know this by reading and understanding history) lead to Communism.  By comparing what has happened in the past we can see America well on its way to dissolving into a chaotic future.  

I cannot see the future, so I can’t with 100% accuracy predict what will happen, but if something drastic doesn’t happen, we will lose America very soon.  The land itself will still be here, but it will be a shell of the nation we once knew.  

At a pretty young age my parents pulled me out of the public school system and began to homeschool.  With every fiber of my being I am so thankful for that decision.  I can remember in third grade I had a teacher who was a very interesting lady.  She taught quite a bit of very interesting theories.  Because she was my teacher, I completely believed her.  I remember her talking about the evils of slavery in America, and I remember feeling ashamed of my skin color because she told me it was shameful.  The white man was evil, and I by association was to blame.  I wasn’t taught the fact that slavery has occurred in every nation, or the fact that every skin tone has made slaves of every other skin tone throughout the history of the world.  Those facts didn’t actually matter.    

When I began to homeschool, and realized the broader picture, that yes, slavery happened in America, but that America is one country that actually went to war, brother against brother, to eradicate slavery that I was able to feel a patriotic spirit for this country again.  I also was taught very clearly that Christ died for all.  That he loves each and every one of us. We are all descendants of Adam and Eve, one race, and one blood.  

Right now in America there is a cultural phenomenon where we are simultaneously condemning the sins of the past while indulging in evil today.  What makes us feel that we are so much better than those who came before us?  Does it somehow help us to pretend that we are better?  America is a living breathing pit of filth right now.  How can we worry about the past when the present is just as bad as the past?  Right now, sex trafficking is at an all-time high.  You understand that this is still slavery, right?  Kidnapping, child exploitation, abortion, pornography, homosexuality, aren’t enough to worry about?  Let’s burn down the country because of the sins of our ancestors who aren’t around to punish.  

Now we will also on top of the fact that crime rates are sky-rocketing, defund the police, tear down history, and cause utter chaos in the streets.  This is all a planned Marxist takeover of America.  My heart cries out to God for mercy while looking around realizing that we don’t deserve any mercy.  We are a country deserving judgement as in the days of Noah.  

Our nation is sick and instead of seeking Christ, and turning to him we are passing laws allowing pedophiles full access to our babies, and calling it consent.  I want God to have mercy, but I understand that justice is needed, and the only justice will be judgement.  I think many people somehow believe that a vote in November is going to fix all the problems we are seeing today.  God help us.  One man isn’t going to solve the sin problem in this world.   Voting for laws to be passed, and for a leader who is a strong American is a good idea, but there is nothing that is going to happen in another four years of Trump that is somehow going to solve the true issues in America. (I’m not advocating that we should just give up, and roll over, and forget trying.)  

I’m just explaining what my Pastor has been trying to knock into my thick skull, and that’s this…Jesus Christ alone is the answer we are seeking.  So, yes, go to those city council meetings, educate yourself on how to change policies, and how to hold your government leaders accountable.  However; seek Christ first, love him, serve him, above all share him. Endure persecution, embrace hardships, give him absolute first place.  God is the answer.  Without him all is lost.

I Timothy 4

9 This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation.

10. For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.

 I have said from the start of this endeavor that I believe that the rapture of the church is imminent. We need to be ready. Just like any child when his father has been gone for a while I am anxiously awaiting the return of my Father.  At any time the door is gonna open up and He is gonna tell us to come on, get on the elevator, and come on home.

   Trouble with this thinking is, Father’s timetable is vastly different from ours. We have the Burger King mentality where we want everything our way and we want it now. The Father has a whole different sense of time, since He does not have the constraints of time. What we think has been just WAY TOO LONG, has been just the blink of an eye to Him.

   Either in the Rapture, or in death, my journey here is coming to an end.  I have maybe twenty years or so to go, possibly less. I see the things that are happening that are crumbling our society and all I can think of is the fate of my children and grandchildren. 

   A political party or a political candidate are not going to solve our problems. He, she, or they, if they tend to want to “normalize” our society are only going to postpone the problem. Very rich and powerful men are paying people to loot and destroy. It sounds like a “B” science fiction movie from the 50s. 

   “But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.”  2 Timothy 3:13

   My answer is this, AND IT IS THE ONLY ANSWER! –

   “But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and been assured of..”

   “And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.”

   “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.”

   “That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.”

2 Timothy 3:14-17

   The only way to stay the right path in these times, is to take the same journey that Christian took in The Pilgrim’s Progress. It is a straight, and it is a narrow path. Keep your minds, keep your thoughts, keep your hearts on Christ. Keep looking up. Keep the faith.

   “And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and mind through Christ Jesus.”     Philippians 4:7
