Did you know that scientists are killing unborn fetal cells? People (scientists) are cloning humans, trying to live forever, and creating Designer Babies. It’s kind of interesting how scientists can do these things, but we still shouldn’t defy God’s design. God’s design is wonderful!
In this day and age of instant communication, we seemed to have forgotten to think before we meme. There are people walking around with their foot in their mouths and they don’t even know it is there. We as Christians try to watch what we say, but electronically we will post out the wazoo and do not seem to comprehend what is coming off of our fingers.
You – christian! Do you ever think about why the world is so confusing to you? Why do you think that you don’t fit in? Why is everything so strange? Now think about it from the other perspective – you are unsaved. You are looking at Christians (if you are looking at Christians that actually live like Christians). Let me explain further – Christians that live a life separated from the things of the world. If you are not saved, people that live a Christian life are, well, in a word – weird.
What is love, really? Well, the Hollywood version of love is jumping into bed with someone, then you start finding out about them, and then if it doesn’t work out, you can go your merry way. No harm, no foul. Is love just a feeling? Is it just something that makes you tingly all over. Song writer’s have been handing us this type thing for years and we have been swallowing it hook, line, and sinker. If we were fish most of us would be dead.
“Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.”
“Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.” James 5:7-8
The trouble with religion is that there is nothing personal about it, anything or everything can be your icon, your god. That is why we, as professed Christians strive to tell everyone that they need a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, the risen savior who paid the penalty for your sins.
I recently got my first cataract surgery. In fact, just two days ago from me writing this. That first day everything was darkish, my eye would not even open very well yet. When I woke up the next morning though, there was so much light! It was like when you wear sunglasses and you take them off, that is what it was like! The world is so much brighter, that eye is understanding the light in the world much better than I can remember. I would never have believed that I was wearing sunglasses on my eye! But when the physician removed that cataract – that blockage – from my eye, the light of the world has opened up!
My guess? It is a symptom of the end times, but common sense seems to have left the atmosphere altogether. I look around at all that is going on and just have to shake my head in amazement at the very educated people that are running the country (and the world) that seem to be devoid of any practical common sense. I can only presume that this is the part where the Bible says “thinking themselves to be wise they became fools” – Romans 1:22.
OK, let me get this straight. Someone is paying people to take cushy bus tours, all meals included? All they have to do is get on this bus, take road trips and tear stuff up and and/or burn stuff if there is too much of it? If there is anything left you get to take it home as souvenirs? Now this sounds like a dream job. I need to talk to that Soros guy, you know – the one paying for most of it. I need to tell him that he has the wrong people going on these trips. I could also save him some money to boot.
I read a description of George Orwell’s novel, 1984, on Google. It said at the end, that “it remains a work of science fiction”. I am not sure exactly what the author meant, but it sounds like they were not sure it would remain a work of science fiction.
