Father, thank you first of all for the gift of your Son that provided me, and so many others, the gift of eternal life. Thank you that because of that gift I know exactly what the ultimate outcome of all things will be. Help me, Lord to remember this in times of distress and discouragement, and, that in those times that those thoughts can be dispelled. They can be dispelled just by the fact of Your ultimate victory. I should not worry, and if I do, you are right beside me holding me up.
Father, protect my children and grandchildren. Hold them up and keep them safe – safe from this world and the temptations that are constantly in their face. Help me to be an example of a right walk with you. Help me to be a guide when needed but help me not to be a loud negative voice that would determine them to walk in an opposite direction.
Father, help me to be a loving husband, trying to look out for and care for my wife and the things she needs. Help me to see those needs. Give my wife the assurance that I will be always with her, as you are always with me. Help me not to be a discouragement to her and to always be lifting her needs above mine.
Father, you see this world and the political climate we are in this day and age, you knew it was coming. Help people to realize that you are the Savior of the world and not any one politician. We read in your Word that in the last days that there will be men promising peace and prosperity. We know, Father, that you have said for us to be wary of such men, for we know that only You can bring about a lasting peace. You are the one that will eventually allow the sheep to lay down with wolves. Help us not to trust in men, but only in You, for only You know the ultimate end of this age,
Father, thank you for the hope that You bring to us that we do not have to worry, that we can lay down in peace at night because you are the one leading – not the temporary solutions that men bring.
Thank you, LORD, for all blessings you have provided and give us strength and vision to share those blessings you provide to others. In whatever way we can articulate, help us to send the message as far as it can go.
