Have you noticed that sometimes you make big elaborate plans and they do not always work out? You will plan a vacation for a year and have all these great things you want to do on your trip, but someone gets sick or hurt, or your job says there is a big job and they cannot have you go on this week after all. All those plans, right down the drain!
Take this blog itself, for instance. My plans for this blog was to have something that was biting and facetious. Something that would be a little funny, but with a ring of truth. My daughter, who paired to write with me some, would be the serious one, and I would, in actuality, be comic relief. It just didn’t work out with that plan. The only time the Holy Spirit would let me not be serious was talking about politics. I think it must be that with all the political claptrap going on, we all need comic relief for that. When I talk about Christ, though, and eternal things, such as the Bible, Heaven, Hell, your spiritual lives – I apparently am not given freedom to go rogue on those topics. I have wanted to lighten up some, but the Spirit will not give me leave to do that.
Anyone that knows me personally, knows that I am not a serious person. I joke around. I have a very sarcastic humor. I used to be a three stooges fan (’nuff said). So believe me when I tell you readers, that your souls are very important to me. I want, when we get to Heaven to be able to finally break the bonds of being a flaming introvert and be able to have important conversations with all of you! (That is, after we have all had important conversations and celebrations with our Lord). I would like to see you all there! It is so important that God will not let me be flippant about any of it.
How does an introvert write any of this stuff? I do not know. All I know is, that I have overwhelming direction when I am typing and probably over half of these things I had never thought of before and after typing them out sometimes I do not ever remember thinking some of the thoughts.
What I do know is, that if it is important enough for the Holy Spirit to talk through typing it must be pretty important points to think on. Like, your eternal destination, your attitudes, your thoughts, your very existence.
I hope and pray that you find these blogs useful, thought-provoking, uplifting. Just forget the political stuff, that has no eternal significance anyway!
