Where Do You Stand?

We want everyone to be like us. Everyone. Apparently no exceptions. Everyone wants everyone to be alike, to think the same way, to believe the same beliefs. At least, that’s what it seems to be in today’s society. If you believe different that the social norm, then you are an outcast, deemed a fool.

For over 200 years the USA was known for being different than others, that is the basis for everyone wanting to come here. We were a Christian nation that let everyone have his say, we fought for the underdog, we fought for freedom here and in other countries. We even fought in other countries for the rights of other people. It has caught up with us, or more specifically, Satan’s agenda has caught up with us. Now if you believe in Christ, in the precepts of the Bible, you are the one that is ostracized, you are the one going against popular cultural beliefs – you are a fool.

Spiritual differences aside, as a country we should get back to live and let live. As Christians, we cannot go back. The country has gone too far from the truths of God’s Word for fellowship to occur. We have to walk in God’s Word, in God’s plan. We have to get back to the doctrine of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Not a made up gospel, not something to tickle the ears of all who hear it, but the actual true Gospel.

“That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;”

“But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:”

“From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.”

“This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,”

“Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart;”

“Who being past feeling have given themselves over into lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.”

Ephesians 4:14-19

Where do you stand, with the world, or with Christ?

AE

There is no middle ground.  There used to be this line where Christians would often walk.  It was a tightrope stretched between the world and God, and Christians often tried walking on that line.  Rather than clearly choosing who to follow they just stood precariously on that line neither following Christ nor really following the world.  Today that rope is being shaken by storms on every hand, and people are jumping off choosing who they will follow.

It’s crazy because friends and family are adamantly deciding which direction they will go.  Some are sitting back, drinking beer, watching Netflix, and pretending they can still walk that rope, but most can see that there is a dividing line and they must now choose. Family and friends you may have thought were Christians are living far from God and now serving self.

Joshua 24:15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom you will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

One thing we will never be able to say is that we live in a boring time.  It’s absolutely fascinating watching world news, and literally seeing prophecy fulfilled over and over again at an increasingly rapid pace.  Whether you like it or not, you are enrolled in a spiritual warfare.  It’s time to pick your side.  (Just so you know Christ wins.)  Choose wisely.
